MILITARY SPECIFICATION
BORING MACHINES, JIG VERTICAL, DOUBLE COLUMN, BRIDGE TYPE,
FIXED OR TRAVELING CROSS-RAIL NUMERICALLY CONTROLLED (NC)
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of
the Department of Defense.
1.
SCOPE.
1.1 Scope. This specification covers numerically controlled vertical jig
boring machines, double column, bridge type having a traveling cross-rail
with equipment and accessories specified herein.
1.2
Classification.
This specification covers bridge type jig boring
machines of the following sizes based on spindle cross travel and table
travel. The sizes supplied shall be as specified (see 6.2.1)
